Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-12 09:58:42.296ZHi Meghan,
Thanks for reporting here. Did you have this working prior to upgrading to macOS 15 or are you new to SoundFlow and just installed it?
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-12 10:00:39.891ZFrom what I can see, it looks like there's something that goes wrong when you log in. Could you try logging out of your account and back in to see if that fixes it?
- In reply tochrscheuer⬆:MMeghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
It was working prior to, and also for a few days after the update to sequoia.
Problem seemed to have started after I also downloaded the avid subscription to SoundFlow.
- MMeghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
I’ve been using SoundFlow for. Long time - since last year.
Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-11-12 18:46:00.082ZAs Christian mentioned, it looks like something went wrong when you logged in. Could you try logging out of your account and back in to see if that fixes it?
Thanks in advance. :-)
- MMeghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
I tried that. Still no luck.
Kitch Membery @Kitch2024-11-12 22:29:35.585ZThanks @Meghan_Gohil,

So here's what I've tried:
- Logging out and back in.
- Reinstalling app (after downloading latest version 5.9).
Any other options? Happy to zoom with someone to show them exactly what's going on.
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-13 11:22:54.042ZHi Meghan,
Unfortunately, I am engaged elsewhere so I can't offer a Zoom call right now, but if you'd be able to make a screen recording, that would indeed be very helpful.
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-13 11:29:24.906ZHi Meghan,
Did you recently update to macOS Sequioa on this machine? We're tracking one other report where a user recently upgraded to Sequioa and are having problems getting SF to load properly. So I wondered if the two of you might be experiencing a similar issue.
- MMeghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
I did recently upgrade to sequoia.
I also added the avid subscription for SoundFlow even though I have a pro account.
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-14 13:07:13.078ZThanks, Meghan. I don't think the Avid subscription is related - when checking your account, everything looks fine and I can log into a copy of it here.
This leaves it to probably be related to the OS upgrade. @Chad can you help Meghan with our instructions for resetting permissions through the tccutil including reinstallation to see if this helps restore things?
Chad Wahlbrink @Chad2024-11-14 16:19:40.709Z2025-04-01 21:52:51.144ZHi @Meghan_Gohil,
Thank you for these details!
To Reset All Permissions for SoundFlow, please perform the following actions in order:
- Quit SoundFlow entirely (Open the SoundFlow Menubar app from the icon by the clock, and click Quit).
- Open the Terminal Application.
- Run this in Terminal: Type pkill
-9 SoundFlowand press Enter. (This will quit all SoundFlow processes if any are still active). - Run this in Terminal: Type
tccutil reset All org.soundflow.sfsxand press Enter. (This will reset all of the settings for SoundFlow in System Settings > Privacy & Security) - Delete SoundFlow from the Applications folder and Empty the Trash.
- Restart the computer.
- Install the latest version of SoundFlow from soundflow.org.
- You should be prompted to grant Accessibility permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
- Unlock the Privacy & Security if prompted.
- Once Accessibility access has been granted, click the "Step #3" button in the SoundFlow startup window.
- Click "Open SoundFlow" in the top left of the SoundFlow Menubar app.
- In macOS Sequoia, you may also be prompted to allow access to the "Local Network". This is also required for SoundFlow to run properly. Ensure this setting is enabled in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
I want to let you know that this will not change any of your commands, scripts, decks, or other information stored with SoundFlow. All of your data is stored in the cloud. This process only removes the app and resets all permissions for macOS.

tccutil reset Video Demonstration
Chad Wahlbrink @Chad2024-11-14 16:22:47.603ZI have been using macOS sequoia for about a week, and it seems to work okay on my machine. However, if this reset doesn't get you sorted, I'd be happy to set up a Zoom call to diagnose a bit more. Still, let's try these steps for now and see if they get you back up and running!

Thank you! This solved the problem.
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-11-15 09:33:14.667ZAmazing! Thank you for your patience and collaboration, Meghan!
- In reply toChad⬆:MMeghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
One note: It didn't accept the
tccutil reset All org.soundflow.sfsxInstead, I just used this:
reset All org.soundflow.sfsx.
- JJustin Flynn @Justin_Flynn
thanks for this, I got a menu of options when i typed in your alt command, what do I choose?
- In reply toChad⬆:JJustin Flynn @Justin_Flynn
i followed your instructions but it errored on the tccutil commandI also tried the alternative command Meaghan suggested and it presented me with a menu. any further clarification by chance?
Christian Scheuer @chrscheuer2024-12-04 14:18:15.244ZWhat's the error you're seeing on the tccutil command?
- CCameron Frankley @Cameron_Frankley
Hey Christian! Sorry to revive thread, but having the same issue and thought I'd Drop the error message when using the tccutil command:
no such bundle identifier "org.soundflow.sfsx"
Chad Wahlbrink @Chad2025-04-01 21:48:29.236ZI think that happens sometimes because of the order of steps I had initially posted (running the
pkillterminal command, then deleting the app, then running thetccutilterminal command).More recently, I discovered it works more as expected if you run the terminal commands one after the other. So run
pkill -9 SoundFlow, thentccutil reset All org.soundflow.sfsx, before deleting the SoundFlow Application from the Applications folder. This is how I have structured the instructions in our help doc:
https://soundflow.org/docs/getting-started/install-soundflow/known-issues#reset-all-permissions(I updated my post here to reflect the preferred order).

Hey Chad, I'm having this exact issue, I recently upgraded to Sequioa and soundflow won't load. It has worked periodically, but for the most part it isn't. I've run this set of instructions, watched your video to make sure I'm doing it correctly etc, but I'm having no luck. Any ideas?
Soundflow 5.10.8
mac OS Sequioa 15.6.1
MacBook Pro Apple M1 Max
64GB ram
Chad Wahlbrink @Chad2025-09-08 15:36:20.022ZHi, @Dave_W,
Are you able to file a Help/Issue Report? Or is it not letting you do anything from the menu bar app currently?
If not, can you try copying the commands outlined in this post into the Terminal application one at a time, and let me know if that helps?
- DDave W @Dave_W
Hey Chad, I've filed a Help/Issue report now although it wouldn't upload from the SounFlow app so I sent it as a ZIP file as directed. Worth mentioning I tried the permissions fix but I couldn't get it to work
Chad Wahlbrink @Chad2025-09-09 18:47:50.924ZThanks, @Dave_W! I'll follow up on the email thread shortly.
- MIn reply toMeghan_Gohil⬆:Meghan Gohil @Meghan_Gohil
Would you have time to zoom? That may be a better way to show you the issue.
