    Ableton Live / Soundflow Plugin Error

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. Open Ableton Live
    2. Try to use any of the commands on Ableton Beta Soundflow integration

    Expected Result

    Any of the macros or scripts to function

    Actual Result

    I get the error "

    Failed to connect to Ableton Live. Please ensure that the SoundFlow Ableton Live plugin is installed and running.

    Workaround

    none

    Other Notes

    SoundFlow MIDI control surface does not show up in my ableton, even though i have tried the troubleshooting steps fix this.

      Thanks for posting this here!

      Examining your logs, it appears that you may be running a beta version of Ableton 12. We are tracking a bug where our MIDI Remote Script device is not installed for beta versions of Ableton.

      You can manually download the MIDI Remote Script folder here:
      https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zXFdXlU0tIuF-bAekJnwVmYtg-Er6Eo6/view?usp=sharing

      Unzip the downloaded zip file and then navigate to your Applications folder.

      If you right-click on the version of Ableton you want to use with SoundFlow, click "Show Package Contents," and from there navigate to Contents > App-Resources > MIDI Remote Scripts. Copy or move that "SoundFlow" folder from the zip file to this MIDI Remote Scripts folder.

      Re-launch Ableton, and you should be able to set up the MIDI Remote control surface in settings.

          thanks, Chad. i've done that process before, but maybe there's something that became damaged in my MIDI Remote Script for soundflow. are you able to fix the google drive link so i can download it? it needs access (i requested). once i get that, i'll give it a shot.
