Stream Deck not triggering Sound Flow Commands

    System Information

    SoundFlow 4.0.3

    OS: darwin 18.7.0

    ProductName: Mac OS X
    ProductVersion: 10.14.6
    BuildVersion: 18G6020

    Steps to Reproduce

    1. Open Sound Flow
    2. Open Steam Deck
    3. Hit a button (with properly loaded and linked sound flow command)

    Expected Result

    Execution of Command

    Actual Result

    No Execution

    Workaround

    N/A

    Other Notes

I'm sure its not the stream deck itself becuase other executabes not involving sound flow commands are working properly. I've double checked all the links to the sound flow comamdns within the stream deck app (I have not taken the time to reconstruct everything in sound flow yet) but the commands are simply not getting from stream deck to SF it seems

Also worth mentioning I have restarted both sound flow and stream deck (software and hardware) to try and correct this issue.

          Hi Matt,

It sounds from your description as if you're using the old integration where you're designing your decks inside the Stream Deck app and using our plugin.
Just wanted to check if you're aware that since SoundFlow 3.7 (released this spring) we're recommending our direct integration with Stream Deck which is much more simple to set up correctly.
With our direct integration, you get much more powerful control over your Stream Deck, when it should display what, and it's much more stable since we don't have to interact with the Stream Deck app and deal with the limitations of its plugin system.

          1. We walk through why to make the change and how to design Decks in SoundFlow in the 2 videos around Stream Deck in our Learning SoundFlow playlist here:

                Hey Christian,
Thanks for the response. I will take a look at the videos in your link.

I understand the need to rebuild my surface in sound flow but in the meantime while working on a project is there a quick fix? I don't have time to re-do it all at the moment

                1. I haven't heard any reports of Stream Deck integration issues for months, after we introduced our new integration - and before we introduced it, we had almost daily reports of issues. The troubleshooting of issues when using the Stream Deck app can take a long time and be very technical (which is why we decided to do our own integration, so we could give users a better experience).

I can't immediately see anything in your log files that helps me understand why it's not working in your case - and why it has worked before, but stopped now.

The best I can do right now is to have you check this list of troubleshooting steps that we developed over the course of the past year when helping users work with the Stream Deck app and its bugs:

Ok thanks for your time! I may just bite the bullet and go ahead and set this all up again using soundflow real quick

                      Thank you!

                      1. Thanks for your understanding, Matt. I wish I could help you more quickly.
