Can I get a folder to open an app using stream Deck

So, I want to have folders with app Icons on the top level.
Can I then automatically launch an app, by clicking on it's Top level folder Icon with a stream deck?

    1. Hi Mark,

The way to do this in SoundFlow would be to have separate Decks designed for each app you want to support, and then assign Application Triggers to those Decks so that your Decks automatically get shown when you focus those apps.

Then, in your top level Deck you just build macros to use the Launch Application action to launch the apps you want to run. Then, the Application Triggers will automatically fire to activate the specific Deck you have designed for that app.

          Maybe something to implement?
Because it seems a pretty convoluted approach.
When having the ability to have an application icon being able to launch an app, and be a folder for said app with its underlying controls., would be a lot simpler.

          Just a suggestion.

          1. Yes, you're right, it would be simpler in that one case where you want to open the app that way. But it quickly becomes very complex to deal with if you then also would like that folder to show up when the app is launched any other way.
Our trigger system is designed to be very explicit, which can seem rigid at first, but this rigidity is what creates stability when your setup grows.
