    1. Hi Stefano,

Is this something that just happens in the background or do you see a crash report visually?

      1. I can see now on your FB post that this happens as a visual report.

I haven't heard of anybody else reporting this behavior in the past, so we'll have to investigate why it happens on your computer.

Can you share a screenshot of your "About Mac" dialog?

The crash popup randomly. There's an alert, you click ok, than again, and again and again. Then stop.
Soundflow seems to work...but it's very annoying.
Furthermore a lot of popular scripts doesn't work fine. I've errors many times I run them

          1. Let's take the errors with the scripts you're seeing separately, as they are not related to the crash you're seeing here.

For the crash, where in the SF app are you when you see this occur? You mentioned it happens randomly. We've seen crashes happening (in the background, so nothing the user notices) in the past, if you happen to watch a video in the SF Editor or Store window. This crash happens in an open source component SF uses, so it's not our own code, which makes it harder to debug. What you're seeing could be the same, but for some annoying reason it shows you that error (which should be recoverable).
I'll see if there's a setting somewhere that forces them to be shown on your computer.

For the scripts where you're seeing errors, please report those separately via the scripts' "Help" button.

You could start with the first script that gives you errors. Sometimes it's just about identifying a setting in your session or something like that, then once it's fixed, it'll help you across multiple scripts. But the way to start is to start with one thing that doesn't work, and take it from there.

                I have 3 separate issue:

                1. the "SoundFlow Helper (Renderer)" crash: It happens random. I think it's a background crash, Soundflow works but this crash continues to happen while i'm working and it's a pain in the a**

                2. Using soundflow pro tools plugin menu changes color from dark grey to light grey. Never seen before installing soundflow

                3. 50% of user scripts I've downloaded (the popular one) doesnt work. And seems strange

                1. Understood. This thread is about the 1st issue, so let's keep it about that.
Please read my post above and address the questions I asked :)

                  1. Specifically, the important question is: Can you show me :

                    • A screenshot of your "About Mac" window
                    • A screenshot of what SoundFlow looks like when you get the crash.

What we can use the 2nd thing for is to hopefully make what appears random make more sense. It will help us find the root cause, essentially.

                    Hi @junegate,

We've finally gotten around to making a video...

                    I hope that helps.

Here's my about my mac log https://www.dropbox.com/t/QtadaS7zLnxsAh90

The crash appear when I open soundflow edit window as you can see by the screenshot

                  1. Thank you, Stefano! I'll take a look.

                    1. This confirms my suspicion in that it's related to the embedded video player (in Chris' "Track Data Utilities" there's a video, if you scroll down).

Still doesn't work here. Always the same error. Now with the updated version it write me I have to start the first script. I do, but nothing. Now every time he ask for the first script

                          1. What you're describing here seems irrelevant to this thread (in this thread we're discussing the crash report).

Hi, I've found the problem. I had two version of pro tools installed. I deleted the second one and the crash disappear.
I've seen one of your videos where there were two version of pro tools installed... I thought was not a problem.

About the second problem...do you have a solution ? Using soundflower the native search plugin menù in pro tools doesn't work anymore...unless you clic on "search". Before soundflow I can search using keyboard without clicing on "search"

                        1. Hi Stefano,

Wrt the 2nd problem, unfortunately this is a Pro Tools bug.
