soundflow not working - only shows blue logo. Cant show decks or anything
System Information
SoundFlow 5.7.7
OS: darwin 22.1.0
ProductName: macOS
ProductVersion: 13.0.1
BuildVersion: 22A400
Steps to Reproduce
- I connected my streamdeck
- I chose to start and control it with soundflow (not the streamdeck app) as you recommended in the tutorial
- i get the blue logo on my streamdeck
- but it only shows the blue logo, no matter what I try... I tryed servel different USB Hubs and Ports due to I read in the forum that sometimes this may be the Problem. But trying to work with my streamdeck with the streamdeck app, everything works fine on any of my ports, so I dont think that the Power is the Problem
- I installed packeges as shown in the tutorial
- but I can´t show decks or get to work soundflow with my streamdeck at all
Expected Result
decks and buttons...
Actual Result
but only the blue SF Logo
Workaround
Other Notes
I am in the Soundflow Cloud Avid Edition... I know that this one isnt able to work with a streamdeck.
But I am un my Sound Flow Cloud Pro Trial which is within the 90 Days. ( I have 53 days left) But it idnt work from the beginning of the trial. I never got it to work since I got the trial.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for sending over your logs. Indeed there are some errors in your log files that look like they could be the source of the problem.
It looks like there's trouble with your connection. Are you using SoundFlow from behind a firewall or VPN by any chance? - RIn reply toRichard_Weigert⬆:Richard Weigert @Richard_Weigert
Hm okay... I am not using a VPN and running just a normal Mac OS without any extra firewall. Maybe Soundflow is missing some permissions to work as it should?
The main "problem" that may occur in topic of connection is, that my Mac Studio has only two usb A Ports, and I have more than two devices that need an USB A Port - like the Streamdeck aswell. So I have to connect it to the ports on one of my screens or an extra USB Hub. But I tried to connect it directly with the Ports on the back of my Mac aswell and the streamdeck didn´t work either. So I would say that isn´t the Problem. Anyhow when using the streamdeck App the buttons and things I did there did work fine on any of my USB-Ports. So normal powering, displaying and controlling via the streamdeck works fine on any of my ports when not trying to use soundflow. One little Detail: all Buttons turn on the same one color when clicking "set up stream deck" so the general communication between soundflow and the deck works.
And when my Mac is in standby mode the SF Logo starts to change his color. so its not only blue ;)when selecting a package I can select my device and I can click on my streamdeck, to say on which device the deck should be shown. But when clicking "show deck" nothing happens.

Hi Richard,
I agree - I don't think this is a Stream Deck issue. It appears to be an issue with your SoundFlow connection to the cloud / your account. You should see similar issues if you try to run a script from within the SoundFlow editor, since it appears your account doesn't correctly log in, which indicates network issues.
You could try logging out of SoundFlow in the app and log in again to see if that helps.
Since I'm on vacation for the next ~10 days, I'll ping @Chad here to help troubleshoot.

Hey @Richard_Weigert!
I agree with you and Christian. The issues you are seeing do not seem like a Stream Deck specific issue, but are more likely an issue with your connection/account.
As a first troubleshooting step, can you try logging out of SoundFlow from the menubar app here:
Log back in and see if the issue persists for you.
If the issue persists, could you confirm whether you can perform any of the other actions available to SoundFlow Cloud Pro subscribers? For example, can you install packages from The Store? Are you able to create custom macros?

Hey Chad,
I tried logging out and in again. I downloaded the offical "Basics" the offical "iZotope RX" and the offical "Pro Tools " Package. And I installed "GuideAlign" aswell... it has the orange "premium" marking.. doas that mean it is only aviable in the pro version?
installing them seems to work well... but I still cant show anything on my streamdeck.
Creating and editing Macros works but I cant run them. So if I click "Run Macro" like a simple one like "open Finder" nothing happens. Same as "Show deck" as I mentioned beforeChad Wahlbrink @Chad2024-07-16 15:51:52.878Z
Thanks for that update, @Richard_Weigert!
Does running any macro work for you? For instance, with a Pro Tools session open, if you navigate to the "Pro Tools" package > File Menu > Bounce Mix..., are you able to click "Run Preset"? Does the "Bounce Mix" window show?
If you can run those default preset actions, we know that SoundFlow's accessibility actions are set up correctly.
I tried extending your SoundFlow Cloud Pro trial for a couple of days (through 9/14 instead of 9/3) to see if that would help jog the system in case there was an issue recognizing your account as being on SoundFlow Cloud Pro instead of the SoundFlow Cloud Avid Edition. Let me know if anything is behaving better for you with that change.- RRichard Weigert @Richard_Weigert
I tried the protools macro within soundflow with an open Protools Session like you told me to... but nothing happens.

Okay, thank you @Richard_Weigert! The good news is that this rules out an account issue and is likely an issue tied to accessibility access on your specific machine.
Could you try following the steps in the video linked here:
Sound Flow - Log In Issue - Security & Privacy #post-11
Written steps are in the post just after that one, here:
Sound Flow - Log In Issue - Security & Privacy #post-12
This is the best way to reset SoundFlow fully, and it has fixed a few similar issues.
Let me know if this helps once you follow the steps!- RRichard Weigert @Richard_Weigert
Okay thank you. I ll try this reinstalling prozess... but during the terminal-actions I got this error: No such bundle identifier "org.soundflow.sfsx": The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -10814
but I ll continue with the rest. maybe it works anyway

I tryed what you told me. But I after reinstalling I was not get asked a stemp #1 or #3. I was already logged in. Anyhow the problems seem to stay the same - yes I made shure that soundflow has the needed Accessibility in the System Preferences

Hey @Richard_Weigert,
Thank you for following the steps.
If you are willing, I think the quickest way to understand what is going on here is to hop on a quick Zoom call. Can you send an email to support@soundflow.org? I can set up a call with you from there.
Best,

Just noting this was solved over here: unable to run any command #post-2
The issue was linked to trying to run SoundFlow on macOS 13.0.1 instead of the latest macOS Ventura version (13.6.7) as of this date.
